These 7 days Rwanda Uganda Safari expedition lets you visit the exciting destinations including Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda.
Day 1: City tour – Transfer to Volcanoes.
Have delicious morning breakfast and check out at the hotel for the city tour in Kigali visiting Kimironko market, cultural sites and Kigali genocide memorial site.
After have lunch in the city and later transfer to Musanze district in Kinigi where Volcanoes national park is located arriving in the evening. Check in for Dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhabura.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes
After your breakfast early in the morning transfer with your packed lunch from the lodge up to the park offices or starting point for a short briefing by the park ranger guides usually conducted to highlight trekkers about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking.
After you will be allocated a gorilla group to trek plus park ranger guide and armed officers to lead you through the exciting journey heading to the Jungle in search of these apes for interaction. This can last between 2 to 5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the Jungles.
After locating the gorillas, you will be allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them, after return to the starting point.
Transfer back to the lodge where you will spend an evening as you relax and refresh preparing for Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer to Bwindi.
Have early morning breakfast and after transfer up to the park headquarters for briefing and be assigned a ranger guide and start your golden monkey tracking in volcanoes national park. These primates are mostly found in bamboo forested areas
After tracking session, meet the driver for a visit to the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo after which you will cross to Uganda the pearl of Africa via Cyanika border. Lunch is provided en-route and after proceeds to Rujiha which is part of Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
Day 4: Game drive – Boat Cruise.
Have breakfast. After transfer to Ishasha sector in Queen for the morning game drive which starts at 10:00 am.
After game drive, continue to Mweya peninsular for lunch at Mweya safari lodge followed by the afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel. After boat, proceed to the lodge and check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Game drive – Transfer to Kibale Forest.
Have early morning breakfast and after be in for the morning game drive visiting Kasenyi sector where you will visit Katwe salt pans as well as being exposed to other Wildlife species habited within like Wild animals.
On finishing the game drive check out for transfer to Kibale Forest National park with lunch en-route usually in Fort portal town. Check in for Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House.
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale.
Have early breakfast, get prepared and go for chimpanzee tracking, a briefing is first conducted at the park offices or starting to highlight trackers on how to behave while in the jungle and in presence of chimps.
After the journey to the jungle is started with park ranger guides searching for these primates, after locating their presence you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour while seeing them feeding, playing, laughing plus taking photos of them. After tracking, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, be prepared for a guided walk in the Bigodi wetland to see various bad species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Kibale – Entebbe.
Have breakfast in the morning. After transfer to Kampala with the guide. Lunch is provided en route. After transfer to Entebbe airport for your departure flight back home.
