This tour takes you to the western part of Uganda for great experiences in Kibale, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi. It includes chimpanzee tracking, gorilla trekking and boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. On arrival, you are welcomed by our driver. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Kampala.
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale
Early in the morning you start the drive from Kampala to Kibale forest National Park. You enjoy the drive via Kampala – Mubende – Fort portal highway. You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in at the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening you can have a walk in Bigodi wetland.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking
Early in the morning after breakfast you transfer to Kanywanchu tourism center for briefing. After you start the journey to the jungle to search for the chimpanzee primates. These animals are very active, tourists are required to maintain their voices at low tone. Once you locate them, you be in their presence for a period of one hour.
Day 3: Kibale – Drive to Bwindi
After great moments in Kibale you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes about 8-9 hours. It rewards you with breathtaking views of picturesque landscapes, escarpments, terraced hills and more.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Have the early morning breakfast. After drive to the starting point where you will be briefed by the park officials about how to behave in the jungles.
You are divided into groups of 8 people. Each gorilla family is allowed to be visited by one group of eight people per day. After briefing, you head to the Jungle following the permanently established routes in search of these apes.
When you locate these apes in the Jungles you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them. After the one hour session you return to the Park offices.
Day 5: Community Walk – Bunyonyi
You will visit a community of the Batwa people for cultural encounters. After return to the lodge for lunch. Later transfer from the lodge to Lake Bunyonyi for more beautiful moments. You will do an evening boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. Visit different islands which dot the lake. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala
In the morning, you start the drive from Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala or Entebbe airport. The journey requires about 8-9 hours. Our driver will drop you at the airport for return flight.
